This is a pair of knives with matching leather sheaths in vegetable tanned bridle leather. I forged the chef knife from an old Nicholson double cut file. I made the octagonal handle out of live oak and it has a dark ‘ebonized’ finish. The paring knife I forged from 1095 high carbon steel. A perfect set for most all of your kitchen needs. Both knives are carbon steel (not stainless) and should be washed and dryed after each use.
